layout

The layout is designed and hand-coded by me, with a lot of inspiration from Hibiscus, Soda, Linn and the CSS Zen Garden. I use Camino at 1280x800, but it works in (at least) Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox and Safari, at most resolutions. Both the CSS and HTML are validated.

The art in the header is mine, the brushes are from V-Brush, and the font is A Theme For Murder. The icons page is powered by Icon Sort. I use Taco HTML Edit for HTML and CSS, Adobe Photoshop CS for graphics, and these two gentlemen for help with everything. Previous layouts are here.

This website has existed, in some form or other, since April 2000. It began as a site about me, with just a few stories and things I had written. Over the years, it's become almost entirely art and writing-centred. It seems that sort of thing is more popular. Who knew?

The counter on the index page is the number of visitors since May 21st 2005.

My hosting space is at dreamhost.com, and the domain is at godaddy.com. I've previously used ixwebhosting.com and isphost.org, but if pressed for a recommendation I would definitely say Dreamhost. Before I started paying for hosting space, I used geocities.com, angelfire.com and home.no. Those sites are still around somewhere, in all their embarrassing glory. Please don't try to find them.

I'm a nineteen-year old girl. I've lived equal amounts of time in Toronto, Canada, and Oslo, Norway. I'm currently putting myself deeply in debt to bang on stuff with a hammer, read books, and throw paint at things for nine months a year (majoring in Drama and English and minoring in Visual Studies, in other words).

I'm a geek, a bookworm, a slasher, an ex-IB student, a chocolate and tea addict, and bilingual. I've had red hair for so long I've more or less forgotten that I'm actually a brunette -- it even says "redhead" in my passport. I have far too little time on my hands, but I'm very good at procrastinating.
